Fish Baked in Aldanel Sauce


Step 1

Combine olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat until it melts.

Step 2

Add Aldanel sauce, shallots, celery and diced tomatoes.

Step 3

Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until thickened.

Step 4

Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 375°F or 190°C.

Step 6

Meanwhile, grease an ovenproof dish with butter and put the fish in single layer.

Step 7

Add the sauce on the fish steak and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes.

Step 9

Serve immediately.


  • 240 ml Aldanel sauce
  • 4 white fish steaks
  • 2 tbsp dry breadcrumbs
  • 2 shallots finely chopped
  • 1 celery stalk finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2tbps butter
  • ½ cup of white wine
  • 14oz/400g canned diced tomatoes
